Privacy & prototype limits.
GGB Cloud is an early storage prototype. It is not yet a commercial storage service, and does not offer a backup guarantee, uptime commitment, or paid storage plan.
What this software stores
When accounts are enabled, the application stores your name, email, password hash, file metadata, and uploaded files on the configured hosting server. It uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. Login abuse controls retain hashed IP-based keys and attempt counts; server or hosting access logs may separately retain IP addresses.
File access
The application checks the signed-in account before listing, reading, or changing files. It has no public file-sharing feature. Files are not end-to-end encrypted: the hosting operator and anyone with server access may be able to access them. Do not use this prototype for sensitive or irreplaceable information.
Limits and supported formats
Initial limits: 25 MiB per file, 1 GiB per account, 500 items including trash. Supported formats are JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, MP4, WebM, QuickTime, and PDF. Media playback depends on your browser and codecs. There is no transcoding. Browser PDF preview may not be available on every device.
Trash is not deletion
Trashed files remain stored and count toward your limits. They can be restored. Permanent file deletion, account deletion, self-service export, password reset, and email verification are not currently implemented. Download your originals and retain an independent copy.
Before launch
Customer registration and sign-in remain disabled by default until a valid HTTPS certificate, secure configuration, hosting permission for file storage, and operational ownership are established. The operator must supply contact details, applicable legal terms, retention rules, and a support process before opening a public service.
